The history of lost foam casting in China: In 1979, a research group led by Professor Liu Lizhong, a well-known expert in lost foam casting and a researcher at the Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, started the principle experiment of lost foam casting for the first time in China. In the same year, Professor Liu Lizhong published the "Three Field Theory of Lost Foam Casting" in the National Society of Foundry Technology, and systematically expounded the characteristics and regularity of this method for the first time in China. In 1982, on the basis of a large number of laboratory experiments, Professor Liu Lizhong presided over the establishment of an experimental production line for lost foam casting in the factory of the Institute of Optics and Mechanics. Professor Liu Lizhong presided over the completion of dozens of lost foam casting production line projects with advanced technology, complete functions, reasonable configuration and efficient production.
